With Crimson Desert finally approaching its long-awaited launch, players eager to jump into Pearl Abyss’ ambitious open world action-adventure RPG will soon be able to download the game ahead of release.
Preloading allows players who have already pre-ordered the game to install it early so that it’s ready to play the moment it unlocks. Given the massive scope of the game and its sizable download footprint, it makes sense to get a head start. So far, we know that the PC weighs in at 135GB, while the console sizes haven’t been revealed as of yet.
When You Can Preload Crimson Desert
Preloading for Crimson Desert is scheduled to begin on March 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM PT / 6:00 PM ET / 10:00 PM UTC across digital storefronts including the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
For players planning to jump in the moment the game unlocks, preloading will likely be the best way to ensure everything is ready to go when launch day arrives.
