One month after the release of the surprising Clair Obscur Expedition 33, it’s time to take a look at how many players have completed this acclaimed turn-based RPG by Sandfall Interactive. Data from Steam and the TrueTrophies portal for the PS5 version give us an idea of the completion rates.
Although these numbers cannot represent an absolute sample, they show that around one-third of players have finished the main story of Clair Obscur Expedition 33, or possibly even fewer. As of now, according to Steam community data, the achievement called “The End”, which marks the completion of the main quest, has been unlocked by 25.2% of players. On TrueTrophies, the same trophy has been earned by 34% of players.
These are rough estimates, and not exact figures, but they reflect common trends found in most games, whether big or small. For example, Oblivion Remastered was also completed by very few players, with only 2.77% finishing the main quest.
In both cases, the games are long and offer a lot of side activities, which means many players are taking their time to explore everything these titles have to offer. It’s also possible that limited free time due to daily commitments is preventing some from finishing the game quickly.
In related news, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has already sold 2 million copies in less than two weeks.
