Whether it’s TV shows, movies, music, comics, or video games, when you dive into something that makes you feel truly happy, or fills you with such joy as you take it in, you inevitably will get the feeling of “wanting more.” In the gaming space recently, Sandfall Interactive came out of nowhere to create an RPG epic known as Clair Obscur Expedition 33. The game was so good that not only did we of The Outerhaven give it a 5/5, but many hail it as the current frontrunner of the “Game of the Year” discussion.
However, the other thing that most people want to talk about is, “What’s next for Sandfall?” Will they make DLC for Clair Obscur Expedition 33? Will they try to make another title in its style? Or, will they pull a Larian Studios and do something else entirely? Enter director Guillaume Broche, who did a YouTube interview about the game and the team’s future, and said the following:
“Clair Obscur is the franchise name. Expedition 33 is one of the stories that we want to tell in this franchise. Exactly what it will look like and what the concept will be is still too soon to announce, but what is sure is that this is not the end of the Clair Obscur franchise.”
That sounds pretty definitive to us! It likely will take time to form and get to where they want to show it, but Sandfall Interactive will dive back into this universe, and that should fill us all with glee.
