Kakao Games and Chrono Studio today announced that sign-ups for the highly anticipated Chrono Odyssey closed beta are live, with the limited-time PC closed beta event on Steam officially scheduled for this June. Even before the official announcement of the closed beta, Chrono Odyssey has amassed over 400,000 sign-ups organically through word of mouth.

This first public playtest milestone marks the next step toward the game’s full launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, promising a groundbreaking MMORPG experience powered by cutting-edge technology.

“Chrono Odyssey represents years of passion and innovation,” said Sangtae Yoon, executive producer of Chrono Odyssey. “This closed beta is our invitation to players worldwide to help shape the future of this ambitious project. We cannot wait to play alongside you, experience the story, and see what each and every one of you think of our game.”

A World Shaped by Time and Conflict
Set in the fractured realm of Setera, Chrono Odyssey plunges players into a war against divine forces and cosmic horrors threatening all existence. As members of the Sentinel, players will wield extraordinary time-manipulation abilities to unravel mysteries spanning multiple eras—from lush medieval kingdoms to desolate post-apocalyptic wastelands.

KEY FEATURES AVAILABLE IN CLOSED BETA:

Time-Bending Combat System

  • Master dynamic action combat with mechanics like Time Rewind and Freeze to dodge fatal blows, chain combos, and outmaneuver enemies.
  • Choose from three of the final game’s six distinct classes: Swordsman, Ranger, and Berserker, each offering unique skill trees and adaptable playstyles.

Vast, Living Open World

  • Explore a seamless, richly detailed world powered by Unreal Engine 5, featuring dynamic weather, day-night cycles, and ever-shifting terrain shaped by temporal rifts.

Next-Gen Technology

  • Built with Unreal Engine 5, Chrono Odyssey delivers cinematic visuals and near-instantaneous world transitions.

Closed Beta Access and Sign-Up Details
Players can register for the PC-exclusive closed beta via Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2873440/Chrono_Odyssey/.

Closed beta participants will experience a curated slice of Setera, including early-story quests, one explorable region, and access to three classes.
