Capcom has been going balls to the walls with its Resident Evil Coverage, and now they’ve revealed that it will be holding a Resident Evil showcase, which is going to be covering new information regarding the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem.
As for what Capcom could be showing, well that’s a good question. We already know that Leon Kennedy will be sharing the spotlight with Grace Ashcroft. So, what else could Capcom be sharing with us?
Well, if you’ve been keeping an eye on the prior Resident Evil games, Capcom had added PSVR / PSVR2 support in several of them. This was true for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil Village (Resident Evil 8), and the Resident Evil 4 Remake. There’s even a VR only version of Resident Evil 4, exclusive to the Meta Quest 2 and 3 headsets. So, perhaps Capcom is going to let us know that Resident Evil Requiem is also going to get PSVR2 support.
Or perhaps, it’s something else. Capcom actually announced this showcase reveal a few days ago and released a short video. In the video, there are a few things that crafty players would have caught if they were paying attention. Including “Elpis”, which could tie into why the Ashcroft’s are included in the game. It could tie into Racoon City, or a whole lot more.
Of course, this is just a speculation on my part, and there’s no legit proof of what we’re going to find out. Still, it would be nice, wouldn’t it?
This Resident Evil showcase will take place on January 15th, 2026, at 2 PM PT / 5 PM PT, and will be hosted on Twitch.
