Capcom Announced Expansion Plan, Including New Hires and Buildings!

Wanting to make more in the future?

Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen significant cutbacks, layoffs, restructurings, and closings of various game developers and publishers. To be blunt, it’s depressing. So, when a company has not only success, but enough success to go beyond where they are right now, that’s reason for celebration. Capcom has been one of those companies. When you think about the big releases they’ve done over the last couple of years, and how many software units they’ve sold, it spells success on many fronts. That’s why it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise that they’re going big with their future.

During a presentation on the company’s last fiscal year, the team revealed multiple expansions that they are planning to do. Here are the highlights via Blue Sky:

Capcom announced their expansion plans:1) Hire 100 new staff every year to keep up with development ambitions. 2) New development building in Osaka, set to be completed in 2027.3) Acquired land for another future building. Capcom is thriving!automaton-media.com/en/news/capc…

That says a lot about what Capcom is hoping to do. They want another building to do work in, and then hire 100 extra people to ensure that the work they’re doing is quality and gets done in a good amount of time. Hopefully, this means they’ll tackle projects within franchises that haven’t gotten new games in a while. Mega Man, Ace Attorney, and more have been requested by fans, and their success should lead to new entries like these in the future.
