Battlefield 6 Revealed With Explosive Trailer, Gameplay Coming Soon

After a four-year absence, EA’s Battlefield is back — and I couldn’t be more excited. Today, Battlefield Studios dropped the explosive reveal trailer for Battlefield 6, giving us our first full look at the latest entry in the all-out warfare series.

This debut trailer is purely cinematic, so don’t expect any gameplay just yet. Instead, the focus is on the campaign, with several scenes hinting at a more narrative-driven experience.

Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think:

Battlefield 6 Officially Revealed

The trailer gives us our first look at Pax Armata, a Private Military Corporation backed by former NATO states whose shadowy agenda threatens to push the world into full-blown global conflict. This sets the stage for what players can expect across the battlefield, both in multiplayer and the return of the series’ single-player campaign.

In Battlefield 6, the franchise’s signature blend of visceral combat, large-scale warfare, and sandbox freedom is back in full force. Blast through walls, level entire buildings for a tactical edge, or take to the skies in pulse-pounding dogfights. Whether you’re rolling in with tanks, jetting across massive maps, or caught in the chaos of infantry combat — just remember, the deadliest weapon on the field is your squad.

I have to admit, the moment that iconic Battlefield music kicked in, I was instantly transported back to playing Battlefield 3 on the Xbox 360 — easily one of my favorite FPS experiences ever. If Battlefield 6 can hit that same high, we could be looking at a true return to form for the series, which would be more than welcome after some recent missteps.

Battlefield 6 Gameplay Reveal Coming Very Soon

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to see more. On Thursday, July 31, at 7:30 AM BST / Wednesday, July 30, at 11:30 PM PDT / Thursday, July 31, at 2:30 AM EDT, Battlefield Studios will go live with a massive multiplayer reveal event. This is shaping up to be one of the biggest moments in Battlefield history. If you’re a fan of the series and want to see what’s next, maybe don’t miss this.

The showcase will finally pull back the curtain on Battlefield 6’s multiplayer gameplay, including jaw-dropping new maps, returning fan-favorite modes, and a host of new features that aim to make this the most ambitious Battlefield yet.

Following the reveal, top FPS content creators from around the world will go live with the first-ever Battlefield 6 gameplay streams. Expect hands-on footage and impressions from events hosted in Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, London, and a follow-up event happening on August 2 in Hong Kong.

You’ll be able to watch it all live on YouTube, Twitch, and EA.com/news — and the full presentation will remain available for at least 12 months after the event.

Jordan has been playing games since the age of six. This ignited a passion which initially led him towards game development before trying his hand in the realm of games media, starting in 2022. It turns out he's quite good at it, even if he doesn't always believe in himself. Now, just a few short years later, not only is Jordan a valued member of our staff here at The Outerhaven, but he also co-owns and helps to run Analog Stick Gaming.
