By Josh PiedraAugust 11, 2025

ONE PIECE DAY‘25 brought the world of the acclaimed global franchise to life over two action-packed days at Tokyo Big Sight, drawing fans together to experience a one-of-a-kind celebration. Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., Shueisha Inc., and Toei Animation Co., Ltd., held the event on August 9-10 for the fourth time in honor of the original series debut, and featured immersive exhibits, major celebrity appearances, and live performances. Portions of the main stage program were streamed live on the ONE PIECE official YouTube channel globally and simultaneously translated into English.

Inside the main exhibition hall, fans were transported into the ONE PIECE universe through 3D displays, original illustration reproductions, and one-of-a-kind photo op experiences. The event also marked the first-ever appearance by LEGO® Japan Ltd., which presented a LEGO® ONE PIECE showcase capturing the world of the Netflix live-action series. The exhibit featured brick-built recreations of iconic scenes from the show, along with an interactive fan mosaic activity. Another major debut was the flagship ONE PIECE BASE SHOP exhibit, where attendees previewed upcoming product lines ahead of the store’s grand opening this winter. Other features included game booths, a gashapon corner, exclusive merchandise displays, and a “FAV” Card Lounge, a special ONE PIECE Card Game art exhibition.

On the main stage, the crowd was treated to an electrifying live performance by Hiroshi Kitadani followed by a surprise appearance from Iñaki Godoy, who plays main character Luffy in the live action series. During the Netflix Series “ONE PIECE” SPECIAL STAGE, Godoy shared a first look and behind-the-scenes stories from season 2. Godoy also shared his excitement that Season 3 has been officially renewed. The star-studded cast joined as well, in a live voice-over special stage that brought together key players from the ongoing ELBAPH Arc to reenact iconic scenes and share exclusive production stories and rare insights. The anime adaptation of the popular novel ONE PIECE novel HEROINES, which follows the adventures of the beloved heroines of the series, was officially announced along with the reveal of its key visual. Plus, mega-fans had a chance to flaunt their trivia expertise in the 7th ONE PIECE Knowledge King Finals: Paramount War.

The event concluded with “ONE PIECE DAY’25 SPECIAL LIVE,” a star-studded musical finale featuring Hiroshi Kitadani, muque, and CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE performing a special ONE PIECE opening and ending themes medley. Additionally, fans received a video message from GRe4N BOYZ — the artist behind the current opening to the ELBAPH arc, “ANGEL & DEVIL.” In a joyful sendoff, the musicians were joined by the EGGHEAD Arc voice actors, Godoy, and other guests for a rousing group performance of the fan-favorite “We Are!” Just when fans thought the celebration had peaked, a special video appearance by Mayumi Tanaka—the voice of Luffy—was unveiled to the excited audience. Tanaka brought the celebration to an ecstatic close with Luffy’s signature line: “You all are my NAKAMA (lit. crewmate)!!”
