Where to Find Rusted Gears in Arc Raiders

By Chris PenwellNovember 25, 2025

The Arc Raiders Rusted Gear resource is frustrating to find. It’s rare and pops up occasionally while looting in certain areas of the game. It also doesn’t help that the game doesn’t direct you exactly where to go. Thankfully, you have this guide to follow, as we’ve found two different locations for the Rusted Gear in Arc Raiders.

Scour the Parking Garage

Exploring the Parking Garage in the Buried City is one of the best ways to find Rusted Gear in Arc Raiders, even if the item has a low chance of appearing in the wild. It took about three or four games to find at least one Rusted Gear. Southeast of the Library and south of the Hospital on the Buried City map, you’ll find a Parking Garage. Go inside and look for unopened hoods of the broken cars. You’ll need to Breach & Search them to get to this item, however.

Loot cars to get Rusted Gear in Arc Raiders

You’re more than likely going to find oil and lesser materials by searching these cars. At one point, you might think this guide is lying. However, with persistence, you’ll be able to find a Rusted Gear. It’s a rare recyclable item, so it will be tricky to spot. Be careful later on, however. Arcs are waiting to attack you down the stairs of the station.

There’s also a big mech on the streets that can gun you down in seconds. Keep an eye out for these dangers, especially if you have a one-shot weapon. Rattlers are usually the way to go for early-game players as they’re more reliable for quick encounters.

Go into the Maintenance Wing

The second option is in the Blue Gate map in Arc Raiders‘ Maintenance Wing. It’s underneath the Warehouse Complex. Go down to the bottom level of this building by taking a zipline. Once you’re there, head to the northeastern section of the building. After navigating a few staircases, you’ll find a locked room nearby a zipline. You’ll need to breach the bar and enter inside.

Arc Raiders Rusted Gear can be found in an underground section.

Breach the door to get into the room.

You’ll see various items on the shelves. There is a chance that the Rusted Gear appears on them. You may even find a Bicycle Pump or a Rubber Duck as well. Take a look inside the bag on top of the shelving too. It has a bunch of Bandages and Shield Rechargers.
