Rovio Entertainment, the creator of the global smash-hit Angry Birds franchise, today announced Angry Birds 2 Space, a limited-time in-game community event that brings back the iconic Angry Birds Space biome, reimagined and upgraded for a fresh, modern experience in Angry Birds 2. Angry Birds 2 Space will be available to Angry Birds 2 players from October 24th through November 21st on iOS and Android devices.

Developed in direct response to fan requests, Angry Birds 2 Space launches players into a long-awaited cosmic adventure –complete with exciting new mechanics, a refreshed space environment, and a shared community goal: collect feathers together as a global flock. Players’ contributions will be tracked in real-time via a live progress bar on the official Angry Birds 2 Space website.

As the community reaches key feather milestones, exclusive rewards will unlock, culminating in an out-of-this-world launch worthy of a global celebration, as Red is literally blasted into space. Rewards include in-game currency, cosmetic items, and additional feathers, which will be unlocked and distributed to the community as progress is made.

Players can look forward to a host of new gameplay features in Angry Birds 2 Space, including:

  • New Gravity System – Harness a revolutionary planet-based gravity mechanic that changes the rules of physics and gameplay. Slingshot birds around planets and crash into piggy defense towers like never before, mastering orbital mechanics for strategic, galactic puzzle-solving.
  • Gravity Defying Elements – Master orbital mechanics across weekly themed events in a fresh space biome. Each level challenges players to think strategically, while offering endlessly rewarding, skill-based gameplay.
  • Planet Hopping in an Exciting Universe – Travel across diverse planets –from Standard Planets with classic pull, to Reverse Planets that repel birds away, and massive Mega Planets that dominate the screen. Each planet features Gravity Zones and Gravitational Wind, reshaping flight trajectories and puzzle strategies in exciting, unpredictable ways. Players will need all their cosmic skills to master these mind-bending challenges and conquer every orbiting pig fortress.

Angry Birds 2 Space will be available in Angry Birds 2 from October 24th through November 21st on iOS and Android devices. For more details, check out the Angry Birds 2 Space social channels on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, and follow along on Angry Birds’ specific socials on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
