It’s hard to believe that it’s officially been over a month since the Nintendo Switch 2 launched. It was one of those “long-time-coming” events, and most people were pumped to get the system the moment it arrived. Whether people were actually able to get the system was another matter. As we noted on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, each of our own journeys to get it was unique, and there are plenty out there who haven’t gotten one yet. Stores across the world are sold out, or sell out quickly when restocks happen.
So, that raises an important question: How many units have been sold so far? It was big news when the Nintendo Switch 2 was revealed to have sold 3.5 million in its first four days, and expectations have been high ever since. Enter a set of analysts from Toyo and UBS, who claim that the Switch has sold 6 million units so far:
Toyo Analyst Hideki Yasuda and UBS Analyst Zhai Yijia estimate Switch 2 sold 6 million units after one month.
Yasuda predicts 20m Switch 2 units sold in fiscal 2025 while Zhai projects 18m.

That’s a very impressive number, and that would be the all-time launch month record if these analysts are right. It’s a bit curious that Nintendo isn’t revealing the numbers themselves; however, it might be because the latest financial report will be out soon enough, as June marked the end of the first fiscal quarter.
No matter what, with Donkey Kong Bananza on the way, more people will want to get a system so they can enjoy the new title when it drops on the 17th.
