AEW Collision Recap – 1/10/26

Saturday is definitely alright for fighting in 2026!
By Todd BlackJanuary 10, 2026
AEW Collision Recap

Hello everyone, and happy Saturday once again! With this day comes another chance to watch some great wrestling, and Collision absolutely did that again tonight. So, shall I break it all down in my AEW Collision Recap?

Everything got kicked off with…

At first, you wouldn’t think that this would be a good way to start off Collision, as Skyflight hasn’t been used that much recently, but that’s why you have to just let AEW cook, because this was honestly a really fun match that showed off both sides well.

Oh, and Moxley was on commentary again! Yay!

Brilliant double team from @TopFlight612!

I’ve always been a fan of Top Flight. They’re REALLY good in the ring. While I would prefer them to just be in the tag team division again, I don’t mind them doing trios matches like this, as it allows them to showcase their skills, and I’m all for that.

What surprised me was how long this match went. It was well over 10 minutes, and that gave the crowd time to really appreciate what they were seeing. This residency is one of the best things that AEW has done since they started doing them back in 2023, and I’m glad they keep coming back, as the crowd always comes to play.

In the end, the Death Riders got the win, but it was a fun bout.

"You did this to yourself!"

The @BASTARDPAC has sent a violent message to @DarbyAllin!

Oh, and if you didn’t watch Ring of Honor on Thursday, Leila Grey’s injury brought a new team member to Skyflight in the recently debuted Zayda Steel, and she was “welcomed” to AEW shortly after by Marina Shafir and…

The newest member of SkyFlight, @ZaydaSteel, looked ready for @MarinaShafir, but was NOT ready for @MeganBayne!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

Ouch. I’m sure this will lead to a match between Zayda and Marina, and I’m glad the “Mega Problems” are still being teased as a legit tag team, as Willow/Harley will need more challengers going forward.

Following that, we had a match with Brody King, and I’m sure the match went long…

GONZOBOMB SEALS IT FOR @BRODYXKING!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

… never mind. lol. I’m still a bit unsure where this is all going with Brody, but if getting these squash wins helps him get into the singles title picture? I look forward to seeing him in those title matches in the future.

And now, a message from the Don Callis Family…

With Don Callis in Japan, @Walking_Weapon vows mayhem and destruction while sounding off on @_ReyHechicero bringing the TNT Title back to The Don Callis Family!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

…these are entertaining. I like that they’re using Josh Alexander as the “mouthpiece” for these backstage segments, as it keeps him front and center, and he does a great job hyping up the rest of the family. Speaking of said family, the next match was a banger from the word “go.”

Yep, for the second week in a row, we got El Clon, and if you recall, Hologram made his successful debut in AEW via this residency, and El Clon is doing pretty well himself! If last week’s match was the “tune-up” for his run, tonight with Komander was all about proving he’s far more than “just another luchador on the roster.”

As I noted last week, one of the things I really enjoy most about El Clon is that he does moves that Hologram doesn’t, and we got to see that again, and in even more ways, tonight:

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

Not that Komander was to be outdone, as he really brought it in this match in all the best ways:

El Clon can't escape from @KomandercrMX!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

As ironic as it may sound, given all the great wrestling that we had on Collision tonight, this was my “Match of the Night,” because they did such a great back-and-forth, and even had you wondering if Komander could pull it off!

.@KomandercrMX reverses the Portal Bomb from El Clon!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

Yet, in the end, El Clon got the victory, and I’m very much excited to see what he does next. I know that the initial “goal” was to have Hologram vs. El Clon (as these two are apparently “magic” in the ring together), but it’s hard to know when Hologram comes back. I wouldn’t mind him being the next member of the DCF to go up against Mark Briscoe, but could that be too soon? We’ll find out…

I’m always happy when the women get two matches on Collision or Dynamite, and it’s always a joy to see Mina Shirakawa, because “We Want Mina!!!!”

Someone sent @MinaShirakawa flowers ahead of her match against @RealLadyFrost!

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/ATl6v76Pwt

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

The flowers’ angle is interesting, because you’d think they were from Toni, but they could be from Orange…but would Orange actually take the effort to give her all of those flowers? It also could be a ploy from Marina to try and “split up the Timeless Love Bombs,” so that’s something to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.

Speaking of “keep your eye out” for something, look out, Mina!

.@RealLadyFrost crashes into @MinaShirakawa with a cannonball!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

Lady Frost doesn’t get enough respect for all she does. Her “Murder Gymnastics” is honestly really good, and I really wish this match had gone longer than it did, because Frost can go, and so can Mina.

Figure Four gets the win for @MinaShirakawa!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

I was a little surprised that the TNT title match wasn’t the main event, but nevertheless, this was another fun match on a fun night of wrestling, and this was another great example of a wrestling back-and-forth, as both men gave it their all!

In fact, the crowd was loving it so much that we had dueling “Dem Boys!” and “Hechicero!” chants.

Not today, @_ReyHechicero!

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/LTB0LgDrVW

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

Mark Briscoe is always a crowd-pleaser; he’s just so good at it! But Hechicero has worked his way into the hearts of the AEW fanbase, and so it was great to see these two very different kinds of wrestlers go at it and then see the crowd eat it up:

TNT Champion @SussexCoChicken was on a roll, but @_ReyHechicero caught him in an armbar on the outside!

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/7KsyWhOl36

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

And just like with El Clon/Komander, they made you wonder if Hechicero could pull off the upset victory. Given recent events, it wasn’t as impossible a thought as you might think:

THE CRUCIFIX FROM @_REYHECHICERO FOLDS @SUSSEXCOCHICKEN IN HALF!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

Thankfully, Mark Briscoe was able to pull through, and things are still looking good for The Conglomeration…and Roderick Strong…who keeps claiming he’s NOT in the group. Just join them, Roddy!!!!

One person who definitely won’t join the group is Mercedes Mone…because she had a very specific message to deliver tonight…

“When I return, I am collecting more than just titles.”

A cold, calculated warning delivered by @MercedesVarnado!

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/LWhlFbxw97

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

That’s a big deal. But, if you think about it, this might be the best thing for Mercedes right now. She’s been going non-stop since she started in AEW back in 2024. That includes doing work in AEW, New Japan, CMLL, and all the other promotions she won belts in. Plus, right now, the women who have the three championships she’d want have all beaten her, so there’s little “wiggle room” for her to use to try and reasonably get back into the title picture right now.

So, it makes sense for TK to give her a break, then see just how she can be used best in the future, while elevating the rest of the division in the process.

That leads me to…

Yeah, the second of THREE trios matches tonight, and this one was all about the ladies! And I, for one, am glad we have Nigel McGuinness on commentary, because his quickfire naming of Willow, Stat, and Harley’s group was hilarious. He’s a treasure.

The yet to be named Trio of @CallMeKrisStat, @WillowWrestles + @HarleyCameron_ are working like a well-oiled machine!

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/Vldtt0r8zL

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

The match itself was good, and while I would’ve liked it to go longer, it did serve its purpose, including after the match, when we saw a spider descend onto the stage:

The Toxic Spider, @Toxic_Thekla, interrupts the celebration of @CallMeKrisStat, @WillowWrestles + @HarleyCameron_ to send a final warning ahead of their Trios Match at MAXIMUM CARNAGE!

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/4096iDRUMG

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

I really hope the women’s trios match on Wednesday goes long and sets up title defenses on all sides of the spectrum, because the “friendship party” needs to get some title defenses in soon to keep things hot, especially with a lot of other women’s stories going on right now.

Speaking of Maximum Carnage, another match got added to the roster for Wednesday:

Tensions reach a breaking point NEXT SATURDAY at Maximum Carnage when Eddie Kingston & @Ortiz_Powerful face GYV @ZackGibsonGYV & James Drake!

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/b03i95MdiQ

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

Then, Don Callis and Kyle Fletcher had a “discussion” on matters…

"Somebody needs to say something to Okada."

With @TheDonCallis commenting on @rainmakerXokada and his battle against @tanahashi1_100, @kylefletcherpro has something else on his mind…

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/DC7eW6c00F

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

Hmm…intrigue…

I’m glad they finally addressed this “loose thread” from World’s End, and it paints an interesting picture of what might follow with the Don Callis Family. Could “ProtoShida” break away and do their own thing, turning face in the process? Time will tell…

Finally, the third and final trios match, and it was the main event to boot! You’re never going to hear me complain about JetSpeed on my TV, because they make everything look so good and easy.

HE'S JUST TOO FLYYYYYY!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

I will admit, adding Bowens in there did feel a bit random, but he came to play, too, and I wondered if he would get the win on Ricochet to set up a National Championship match for Carnage or Collision next week.

This was another high-octane match, and another thing that got pushed within it was the incredible skill and strength of GOA:

GOA is just MONSTROUS!

Watch #AEWCollision LIVE on TNT & HBO Max pic.twitter.com/3YLwscrWFd

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

The Demand eventually got the win, and I’m honestly glad about that, because they can’t keep having Ricochet lose in tag matches, just to win the rematch in the championship defense, it would get boring quickly. Plus, we need them for the trios division, so they need to rack up wins where they can.

Oh, look, a brawl!

Just as @PlatinumMax came to help(?) @Bowens_Official, all hell broke loose with a Texas sized brawl!

— All Elite Wrestling (@AEW) January 11, 2026

I’ll add that to the list of things that were “unexpected” on this Collision, but it did leave me, and many others, wondering what will come next week, and that’s half the battle. So, with that, my AEW Collision Recap is done! What was your favorite match of the night, and what would you like to see next Saturday? Let me know below!

AEW Dynamite Confirmed Matches:

  • MJF vs. Bandido (AEW World Title Match)
  • Kris Statlander/Willow Nightingale/Harley Cameron vs. Triangle of Madness
  • Kenny Omega Returns
  • Pac vs. Darby Allin
  • Eddie Kingston/Ortiz vs. Grizzled Young Veterans
