While many of you are fairly waiting on the return of House of the Dragon, there is another spinoff of Game of Thrones coming to HBO and HBO Max soon. It’s called A Knight Of the Seven Kingdoms, and is based on a certain set of tales written by George R.R. Martin that has to do with the unlikely pairing of a knight, named Ser Duncan the Tall, and his squire called Egg. The two will form a unique bond and travel the land as Ser Duncan lands himself in one situation after another, including meeting royalty, fighting in tournaments, and more.
Today, the final trailer dropped for the series, and in it, we see more of the aspirations that Ser Duncan has, and how he wants nothing more than to be a “knight of honor” and possibly be added to one of the “great houses” of Westeros. Except the houses themselves aren’t what he expects, and even his squire doesn’t think too much of him. Yet, he is driven and determined to prove his worth, even if his heart is a bit stronger than his brain.
A Knight Of the Seven Kingdoms drops its first episode on January 18th, 2026.
