Fibbage 3 Returns For Jackbox Party Pack 4 This Fall

By Jon JinksApril 25, 2017

Anyone who has followed Jackbox Games in the past few years should not be shocked to learn that The Jackbox Party Pack 4 has been announced.  For those not familiar, for the past few years, these packs of games allow players to launch the games onto a TV and then play from their phones through a website.  A really cool use of technology and a great way to get everyone at a gathering involved.  This is the fourth year in a row for a release of their grab-bag of games.  The trend of the past 3 years has been a standalone game release earlier in the year then a Jackbox Party Pack release later.

The first game announced for the pack is Fibbage 3.  This year marks the return of the game that put Jackbox Games back on the map in 2014.  After a break last year, it’s making a welcome return.  The goal of the game is to fill in the blank of a bit of trivia with a lie that will convince other players it’s true.  Points are awarded to the players if their lie was chosen and if they chose the true answer.  There aren’t many details yet, however, what we do know is that this time around the audience gets to be more involved by voting on lies and picking truths.  This (and many of these games) has become favorite for streamers, and additional features for the audience will help to keep their viewers engaged even more.

Jackbox Party Pack 4 will feature Fibbage 3
Cleanest game of Fibbage I’ve ever seen.

It will be interesting to see what old favorites return, and what new games are created this year.  The Jackbox Party Pack 4 is set to be released Fall this year on “major digital marketplaces.”

Check out the full post over on the Jackbox Games Blog.

Jon has been playing video games for a long time. His first commentary was recorded on cassette during boss fights in Final Fantasy for the NES. That tape may be lost, but his love of production, recording, and video games is not.
