Nintendo Releases Statement On Joy-Con Issues

By Todd BlackMarch 3, 2017
Nintendo Switch Joy-Con

The Nintendo Switch is officially here! And with it, comes some natural growing pains and lessons that needs to be learned. A rather serious issue that has been noted by many early reviewers is that the left Joy-Con controller can sometimes be unresponsive, which can obviously hurt gameplay.

Some thought that the Day One patch for the Nintendo Switch (which added the Nintendo eShop among other things) would fix it, but more reports are that it doesn’t. Nintendo has officially released a statement about the issue:

“We have received some reports and are looking into them. As with all Nintendo video game systems, we will continue to monitor the performance of Nintendo Switch hardware and software, and make improvements when necessary. For help with any hardware or software related questions, visit http://support.nintendo.com.”

So while this isn’t an immediate fix, it is a start to be fair. And given the hype and potential for massive sales of the Nintendo Switch, you can bet that Nintendo is going to try and fix this as soon as possible so that players can enjoy their consoles and games (like Legend of Zelda!) without further issue.

Have you experienced this issue with the Joy-Con? Or have you been playing the Switch no problem? Let us know!
