The Cine-Analyst: Episode 0 – What Makes A Hero Super?

By Sara Roncero-MenendezMarch 3, 2017

Hello there and welcome to the very first episode of The Cine-Analyst! A new show with the Outerhaven Productions. The show will focus on breaking down some of our favorite fictional characters to see what’s going on in their heads. You know, for fun!

But for episode 0, I really wanted to do a quick intro so you guys can get to know me, what I want to do here, and how it’s all going to run as well as talk about the big theory at play here.

In this episode we talk about:

  • What this show is about
  • Why I wanted to make this show
  • How we let creators off the hook for a lot of stuff
  • The season’s theme: Superheroes and Villains!
  • Freud and his theories on the ego
  • Why do we love superheroes so much
  • How we’re going to see what makes these characters tick

Tune in every Friday as I breakdown fictional characters and talk about what’s going on inside that brain of theirs. Are your favorite heroes crazy or just misunderstood? Find out on this season of The Cine-Analyst!

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
