Todd Howard Says Nintendo “Very Good Partner” Bringing Skyrim To Switch

By Todd BlackFebruary 17, 2017
Nintendo Switch Skyrim

When Nintendo did the very first “commercial” for what was revealed as the Nintendo Switch, one of the biggest surprises was that Skyrim was going to be on the console, and that Bethesda was eager to make games for the Switch. Well, in an interview with GameSpot, Bethesda’s Todd Howard spoke on what it was like bringing the game to the Switch.

The key thing in his mind was that Nintendo was a “very good partner” in bringing the game to the Switch. Which you could argue is just as important as anything else they do in regards to working with Bethesda. Though ironically, he also noted that previously (as in with previous console generations) Nintendo wasn’t interested in their games. But now they are! And Howard, along with Bethesda, is eager to work more with them.

Now, how does he think the Switch will do?

“I don’t know where it’s gonna go,” he said. “But I think it’s a really smart platform. We like it a lot. I think it’s really smart what they’ve done. I think it’s the kind of device that only Nintendo could make. It’s exciting to bring Skyrim to the Nintendo audience.”

We here at Outerhaven are very excited to see Skyrim coming to Switch, and we hope that Todd Howard and Bethesda bring even MORE games to the Nintendo Switch if Skyrim does well…or even if it doesn’t!
