New Iron Fist Trailer Released From Netflix and Marvel

By Keith MitchellFebruary 7, 2017

Many people know of Iron Fist as being one part of Marvel’s Heroes for Hire. Or the goofy sidekick on one Luke Cage, the guy who always wants to bust heads first, talk later. Netflix and Marvel want to change all that with the upcoming series puts Finn Jones into the role of Danny Rand; The Immortal Iron Fist.

Trained in the martial arts, and wielding the power of the “Iron Fist”, Danny Rand returns home to New York. Along the way, he isn’t too fond of what’s happening in the place he calls home and looks to clean the mean streets of New York. Along the way, he encounters some familiar faces in the Marvel cinematic universe. Characters such as Claire Temple, played by the talented Rosario Dawson. Fans of the comic may also remember that Danny had a love interest with Misty Knight, who showed up in the Luke Cage series. No word if she’ll surface in this series, but she’ll be in the Defenders.

I have to be honest, as much as I am a fan of the comic version of Iron Fist, I’m not sure about this series. He’s known to be a better sidekick or complementing a team vs being alone. That said, I’m curious to see how Marvel and Netflix handle this series. More so I can’t wait to see how it ties into the Defender series that starts this Summer 2017

Iron Fist debuts on Netflix March 17th, 2017. Get ready to get your binge watching on, all over again!
