Japan Put Limit On Purchases For Fire Emblem Heroes For Minors

By Todd BlackJanuary 29, 2017
Fire Emblem Heroes

Ok, so, when it comes to free-to-play games, especially mobile games, we know there’s often the option to buy things for the title in order to level up, get more play time, get new stuff, etc. For Fire Emblem Heroes, that’s the potential to buy characters for your army.

In Japan, according to Nikkei, the game is going to have “limit” on how much minors can spend on the game. When you think about it, that makes sense, and you kind of have to wonder whether the US should do something similar as gamers have been known to be a little…excessive at times when it comes to buying additional stuff. We’ll just have to wait and see for that.

Meanwhile, Japan’s limit for their minors will be 12,000 Yen per month. That translates to a little over $100. Funnily enough, Japan has similar limits for all their mobile titles. Although, you could argue that this could definitely be the one to test how close to the limit people get.

Fire Emblem is huge in Japan, and for a long time, it was the true home of the series. But now, with it being dubbed a AAA franchise by Nintendo, all bets are off. And for Fire Emblem Heroes, with the ability to get heroes, heroines, and villains from all across the franchise into your army, you have to wonder just how much people of all nations will spend to get their perfect team.

We’ll find out soon, as Fire Emblem Heroes releases this Thursday.
