Pokemon Company Releases Pokemon Duel

By Todd BlackJanuary 24, 2017
Pokemon Duel

The Pokemon Company already had one successful mobile game with Pokemon GO, but now, it appears they’re wanting to see if lightning can strike twice, as they’ve just released a brand new mobile game called Pokemon Duel.

That’s right, there’s a new Pokemon game that no one warned us about (yes, I know it’s been out in Japan for a while, that doesn’t count!)! Irony! Ok, so what is Pokemon Duel? Well, it’s a Pokemon figure board game, where you’ll build a “deck” of Pokemon figures, then move them across the board to try and get to the other side, all the while battling their opponents Pokemon when they’re close enough.

Now, as this is a mobile title, the game has microtransactions, in this case, you can buy other Pokemon figures via packs. And yes, you can spend a little more for more “rare” Pokemon should you want to try and get the best team possible.

Pokemon Duel is available now for Google Play and iTunes, though you may have to be careful when you play, as the game already has server issues. Irony, AGAIN!

This game will be the second Nintendo mobile title to be released in the course of 10 days, as February 3rd marks the release date of Fire Emblem Heroes. Guess it’s a great time to be a Nintendo fan huh?
