Strafe Coming to PC on March 28

By Keith MitchellJanuary 20, 2017

Are you a fan of old school First Person Shooters? I’m talking about games like the original Unreal Tournament, Quake, and the daddy of them all, DOOM? I’m sure you’ve heard about Strafe, from Pixel Titans, right? Of course, you have, I’m sure. And I’m willing to bet that you’ve been itching to get your hands on this title.

Well, it finally has a release date and will be heading to PC, on March 28th, 2017. Currently there isn’t a set price for the title, however, the Steam page is live here.

If you haven’t heard about Strafe, just think about the fast and frantic action from DOOM 2016. Combine it with some roguelike elements and rewind the clock for the graphics, giving it that old-school pixelated look. Finally, toss in tons of gibs, weapon customization, and semi-procedurally generated levels. Yep, sounds good and that’s what Strafe is about.

So, hold out just a little longer. I played this at PAX East 2016 and I really didn’t want to get off the game. Can’t wait to play it for extended gameplay sessions.
