Gamestop Has Officially Sold out of Nintendo Switch Reserverations

Many people, including myself, had wondered if and when the Nintendo Switch would sellout. Wonder no more, as Gamestop has stated that the Switch has officially sold out in all stores. They’re currently working with Nintendo to secure more units, but nothing is confirmed as of yet.

“The fact that this initial allotment has been completely reserved in a matter of a few days demonstrates gamers desire for this fun and revolutionary gaming system,” said Bob Puzon, senior vice president of merchandising at GameStop. “We’re working closely with Nintendo to get additional Nintendo Switch units, and will let our customers know when they become available. We encourage customers to visit www.gamestop.com/switch and sign up to be get updates about the product and availability.”

If you haven’t already secured your pre-order and are interested in the system, there’s still hope. Other retailers such as Bestbuy, Amazon, Target, and Walmart are still taking pre-orders. Though for long is a different question. So head over to either of those shops before they start stopping any pre-orders as well.

The $299.99 Nintendo Switch will ship and be available for pick-up on its March 3 launch day. Launch titles include 1-2-Switch, Just Dance 2017, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Skylanders: Imagination, and Super Bomberman R.
