Watch Mickey Factz Spit Hot Geek Fire on Sway in the Morning

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieNovember 3, 2016

There are plenty of rappers who insert comic and video game bars in their raps, most notably DOOM and the team of MC Esoteric and Inspectah Deck, CZARFACE, who will be releasing their 3rd album on November 4th. However, not many mainstream acts participate in this form of discourse, and if they do, they can’t touch Mickey Factz.

During the October 29th edition of the “Friday Fire Cypher” on Shade 45’s Sway in the Morning, Mickey Factz dropped a freestyle laced with comic, video game and TV references, and it was pretty serious. From jump, Mickey threw down the gauntlet, and damn, I was impressed.

Among the references included Marvel Comics, Star Wars, Sega Genesis, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Killer Instinct, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear and more. Needless to say, Sway and Heather B couldn’t handle the flow that Mickey Factz threw. Sway was just bodied for a good 2 minutes after that flow.

Needless to say, with lines like “I make Mega Man fight Elmo, truly, give ’em the Ibuki right elbow,” Mickey Factz just might give a new lyrical dimension to Bronx Hip-Hop.

Big Pun and Boogie Down Productions would be proud. You can check the lyrics to the freestyle at this link.
