Pokemon GO is constantly being updated, sometimes with minor fixes, and sometimes with major changes. The newest update will certainly be one that changes things for trainers old and new.
One of the big draws, and debate topics, for Pokemon GO is the choice of which team they will join. There’s Team Instinct, Team Mystic, and Team Valor. However, outside of showing your pride and colors, there wasn’t really much associated with the teams, in fact, there are no bonus to joining any team. Nor are there any bonuses from the leaders Spark, Blanche, and Candela. They simply inspire you to join their team, then are never heard from again. But, with the new update, that’s changing.
An official update has revealed that the Team Leaders will now offer wisdom and advice in Gym Battles for Pokemon GO through what is called “Implemented Pokemon Appraisals”. What this will allow, is notification of the capabilities of your opponents Pokemon, as well as advice on which of your Pokemon you should use.

Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.35.0 for Android and 1.5.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.
Implemented Pokémon Appraisal: Trainers will now be able to learn about a Pokémon’s attack and defense capabilities from their Team Leader (Candela, Blanche or Spark) to determine which of their Pokémon have the most potential for battle.
