Heart&Slash Set to Leave Steam Early Access on August 9th

By Keith MitchellAugust 2, 2016

That robotic rogue-like title, HeartandSlash, is getting primed for the spotlight. While the title has been in Steam’s Early Access for a while, the game is getting closer to its official release date of August 9th, 2016. If you haven’t heard about this game, much less seen it, then I don’t know which rock you’ve been hiding under. But you need to get from under there and check out Heart&Slash.

You play as the robot known as Heart, as you fight for your existence against those who want you scrapped. See, your character isn’t in its right mind and that Heart is having a short-circuit. And seeing how you’re the odd bot out, you’ve attracted the attention of QuAsSy. Short for Quality Assurance Systems, this all-seeing presence feels that all robots should look and act the same. See what’s happening now?

I’ve had a chance to check out Heart&Slash and while it had some issues that needed to be addressed, it’s definitely got potential. Levels are randomly generated, you’ll have access to a ton of different weapons and body parts, so no two creations will be the same either.

Heart&Slash has been pretty popular on Steam and as of August 9, 2016, you’ll be able to get your hands on the fully released game. As an added bonus, the pricing is being dropped to $12.99 as well, added score!
