Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Has a Version for Everyone

By Cody MaynardJuly 7, 2016

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the sequel to last year’s Dragon Ball Xenoverse (which we really liked), is slated to release on October 25, 2016 on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.  The game is being sold as the “biggest Dragon Ball video game experience ever.” If that isn’t enough to get you to buy it, Bandai Namco is providing multiple versions of the game for purchase for varying levels of Dragon Ball fanatics. Also, in order to get that sweet pre-sale money, anyone who preorders any version of the game will get and exclusive character and the Tao Pai Pai Stick vehicle.

Day One Edition

Preordering the Day One Edition will get players the aforementioned exclusive character (from Dragon Ball Super) and the Tao Pai Pai Stick vehicle, shown in the pic above.

Deluxe Edition

For those who know they’ll be in for the long-haul, the Deluxe Edition will get you the season pass. There are 4 content packs and they will feature “additional Playable Characters, Episodes and Quests, Masters and Masters Quests, Stages, Skills, Costumes, Accessories.” Also, you’ll be able to get Future Trunks as a playable character early. This blog post isn’t clear if that means at launch or later. The Deluxe Edition is $89.99.

Collector’s Edition

Sure, season passes and early access is great, but what you really need is this Goku figure, which will be available with the Collectors Edition. To be honest, I think I’m more hyped about the Time Patroller’s Guide, which is an art book that I can only assume features concept art for the game and stuff from Dragon Ball Super. This edition also comes with a steel case for the game, the game soundtrack, and a collector’s box. The Collector’s Edition will run you $149.99.
