Woah…. It's like I'm back in the 70's

By Keith MitchellSeptember 14, 2012

Wayforward’s eagerly awaited re-visioning of a classical beat em’ up, Double Dragon: Neon, was finally released this past week. So how is the game? Well other than some slight issues and mishaps, the game is a decent attempt to recapture the magic of yesteryear. However we aren’t here to talk about the game, nope…. we’re hear to talk about the music.

You know, the soundtrack that was done by the one and only Jake Kaufman, the same guy who did work on games such as; Mighty Switch Force, Mighty Milky Way, Contra 4, among others. Yep just seeing the name means that we’re in for a treat and what a treat it is. While I won’t go into detail about the soundtrack cause I fully expect each and every one of you to download it and listen to it. Oh wait, did I mention that it was free? Yep, free.  You can head right on over to the Double Dragon: Neon page over at Bandcamp.com to sample all 45 tracks (Full) but you can also download them in several formats; Flac, Mp3 320Kbps, Mp4 VBR, AAC, Ogg Vorbis or Alac. Oh yeah the free part, simply enter in $0 when you click on the “Buy Now” or you can offer up a free bucks for his trouble (You got $10 from me Jake, kick ass job on this OST).

Definitely download this soundtrack, especially if you were a gamer in the grand old’e 70’s $ 80’s. Your inter-child will thank you (especially if you listen to track 4!).
