BioShock: The Collection Officially Confirmed, Trailer and Release Date

By Delaila LugoJune 30, 2016

BioShock: The Collection is officially announced by 2k, headed to release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for $59.99 in North America on September 13, Australia on September 15 and internationally on September 16. The Collection will include BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite remastered in 1080p and running at 60 fps.

According to 2k, BioShock Inifinite will not release on PC because it already runs smoothly on high visual settings. BioShock will include the Challenge Room DLC originally released with the PlayStation 3 version, the Museum of Orphaned Concepts DLC gallery that appeared in the Ultimate Rapture Edition, and a new Director’s Commentary video series titled “Imagining BioShock” featuring creative director Ken Levine and lead artist Shawn Robertson. BioShock 2 multiplayer will not be included in the collection, but will include The Protector Trails DLC and Minerva’s Den DLC. BioShock Infinite will include the Clash in the Clouds DLC, Columbia’s Finest Pack DLC and Burial at Sea DLC Episode 1 and 2 where you return to rapture as Elizabeth.

The collection is being developed by Blind Squirrel Games, which collaborated with Irrational Games on the development of the original release of BioShock Infinite.

BioShock was originally released on the Xbox 360 and PC in 2007 and to the PlayStation 3 in 2013.

At 2 years old, she was the little sister that was given the unplugged NES controller, and when finally discovering her big brothers trick, she couldn't be stopped. Her parent's would buy almost every single console (NES, Sega Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, N64, etc.), with the expectation that they had to be shared. Finally purchasing her own PlayStation 2 is when she finally accepted gaming as one of her treasured hobbies. Favorite Games: The Last of Us and Bloodborne
