New Titanfall 2 Single Player Trailer Released, Launch Date Announced

By Keith MitchellJune 12, 2016

One of the biggest issues with Titanfall was that it featured no single play mode and required you to be online to play. Well, in Titanfall 2, that is no longer the case. Thanks to NeoGAF member, Jediyoshi, we now know that Titanfall 2 will include a single player campaign. In addition, Titanfall 2 will also include new Titans, extended pilot gameplay, deeper customization and a fleshed out progression system.

Update: Looks like EA figured the cat was out of the bag and has released an official trailer for the single player mode. The Titans look to be a bit agiler and faster this time around, with some sweet melee action being shown off. What’s more is that the Titans apparently have a 3 protocols; 1: Link to pilot, 2: Uphold the mission, 3: Protect the pilot. I wonder if that is going to bleed over to the multiplayer mode.  Can’t wait to see what else comes out of the EA Play conference, which starts later on, today at 1PM PDT / 4PM EDT.

Update 2: There will be a multiplayer beta at an undisclosed date. You can sign up now for the beta by going to http://titanfall.com.

Previously, the collector editions for Titanfall 2 were released online, sans an actual release date. But now we the actual date will be October 28, 2016.
