Watch Dogs 2 Revealed, Releases This Fall

By Cody MaynardJune 8, 2016

Today was the big reveal for Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs 2, and it looks like the game will be heading to Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15, 2016. Some impressive things were showed off, including the fictional San Francisco Bay Area where the game will be taking place, and the new main character, Marcus Holloway, a “young hacker from Oakland.” You can check out the new cinematic trailer below.

The game will focus around Marcus and the hacker collective DedSec as they fight against the ctOS (Central Operating System). It really looks like more of the same in terms of the Watch Dogs franchise, with some more polish and online social mechanics. The gameplay is still focused on hacking and hijacking technology throughout the city.

I’m interested in Marcus’ story more than anything. According to this post by Ubisoft, Marcus has more tools at his disposal than hacking devices, including a 3D printer to “craft everything from disposable drones to weapon upgrades.” Also, from the looks of the trailer, it seems that when Marcus isn’t battling against the ctOS, he’s mainly just partying on top of rooftops with the DedSec crew, so that looks fun.
