Persona 5 Gets a North American Release Date

Alright Persona 5 fans, your prayers have been answered. Yes, Persona 5, now has an official release date for North America and would you believe that it is being released on Valentine’s Day? Yes, as of February 14. 2017, you’ll be able to sit down with your significant other and play the heck out of Atlus’s Persona 5 for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

The PlayStation 4 will be priced at $59.99 and the PlayStation 3, yes it’s still coming, will be priced at $49.99. 

But the fun doesn’t stop there! There will be several versions of the game as well. For the PlayStation 4 version, in addition to the standard edition, there will also be a special steelbook launch edition. This edition will be extremely limited to pre-ordered copies and a limited amount of launch copies, however, it will come with a collectible steelbook case that is adorned with some really sexy Persona 5 art and will be priced at $59.99.

What? You want more? Ok then, how’s about the Persona 5 “Take Your Heart” Premium Edition? Priced at $89.99, this premium edition will include everything listed below.

  • Soundtrack CD: A selection of music from Persona 5 by legendary series composer, Shoji Meguro, in a CD sleeve featuring special P5 artwork.
  • 4” Morgana plush: Morgana the Phantom Thieves’ cat is not just the mascot of the Phantom Thieves, but also a member – and also not just a cat! The premium edition includes an exclusive 4” plush of Morgana.
  • 64-page hardcover art book: This art book is full of concept sketches, character art, and more by character designer Shigenori Soejima.
  • SteelBook: As strong as a vault, the game disc for the PS4 will come specially packaged in a SteelBook collectible case, emblazoned with Persona 5 designs.
  • School bag: Designed after the traditional school bags in Japan, the exclusive replica bag comes complete with the Shujin Academy crest.
