Microsoft Studios and Moon Studios have announced that Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will be released on April 27 on both Xbox One and PC. Included in this updated version are changes to existing gameplay elements, additional difficulty options as well as new areas.
The Definitive Edition is all about making a great game even more accessible for players; besides new areas, music, story elements, and the additional Light Burst and Dash abilities, it adds a new Easy difficulty for those who’d like to relax a little and take in the sights of Nibel. Ori can even warp between Spirit Wells, the game’s save points, which makes for a faster and more streamlined experience. Fans can also now purchase official merchandise at the new Ori and The Blind Forest shop.
Additionally, if you already own a copy of Ori and the Blind Forest then you are eligible to upgrade to the definitive edition for $4.99. Otherwise Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition will be $19.99. Game saves are also cross-platform accessible and will be synced across Xbox One and Windows 10 enabled PC’s.
