Oculus Rift pre-orders are now live, priced at $599

By Keith MitchellJanuary 6, 2016

Heads up all you VR fanatics, the pre-orders to finally get your hands on a consumer ready version of the Oculus Rift are now live is priced at $599.99. And while the announcement of the headset going retail was announced earlier this week, there was no announcement of the price, that is until now. For $599.99, you’ll score your very own Oculus Rift, as well as copies of Lucky’s Tale, a 3d platforming title and Eve: Valkyrie, based in the world of Eve Online, you command a very dangerous and armed space ship. All copies of the Oculus Rift will also include an official Xbox One controller and a Oculus Remote.

The first batch of consumer grade Oculus Rift devices will ship on March 28, 2016. If only I had $600 just lying around to get my very own, for review purposes that is.
