XCOM 2’s PC specs are pretty tame

By Keith MitchellDecember 10, 2015

Firaxis Games, the team behind the upcoming XCOM 2, has announced the required PC specs for the upcoming title. Set for a February 5, 2016 release date, XCOM 2 requirements are actually pretty mild and most PC’s will be easily able to play this next chapter of the rebooted XCOM series.

Minimum Specs:

  • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 (2.6 GHz) or AMD Phenom 9950 Quad Core (2.6 GHz)
  • GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5770 (1 GB), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 (1 GB) or better (DirectX 11 Required)
  • Memory: 4 GB
  • Storage: 45 GB
  • Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
  • OS: Windows 7, 64-bit

Recommended Specs:

  • CPU: 3Ghz quad core CPU or better (Intel or AMD)
  • GPU: ATI Radeon HD 7970 (2 GB), NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (2 GB) or better (DirectX 11 Required)
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Storage: 45GB
  • Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
  • OS: Windows 7, 64-bit

So there you have it, but are you ready for XCOM 2? Well you better be as February 5, 2016 will be here sooner than you think! I enjoyed the first reboot of the loved XCOM series, so here’s to hoping that part two will be just as good.
