Release Dates Announced For Final 2 Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Titles

By Walter MackDecember 9, 2015

The first in the Assassin’s Creed Chronicle series, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China hit stores over half a year ago. With the announcement that the Chronicle titles would consist of a trilogy (Chronicles: India and Chronicles: Russia), some fans of the franchise were skeptical while others were a bit more welcoming of the changes. The Chronicle series features members of the various Assassin’s Orders, like most Assassin’s Creed titles do (barring Rogue).

Shao Jun, the protagonist of Chronicles: China has ties to fan-favorite Ezio Auditore (Assassin’s Creed 2, Brotherhood, Revelations) having met in the short film, Assassin’s Creed: Embers.  Her game takes place during the Ming dynasty, and the game can currently be purchased digitally.

Chronicles: India will be released digitally on January 12th on all platforms (Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC) and will feature Arbaaz Mir from the graphic novel, Assassin’s Creed: Brahman. The game will take place in 1841, highlighting the tension between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company.

Finally, Chronicles: Russia features Nikolai Orelov from the comics, Assassin’s Creed: The Fall and Assassin’s Creed: The Chain. Ready to give up his live with the Assassin’s to spend time with his family, Orelov has to embark on one final mission for the Assassin’s Order. This one will arrive on February 9th, also as on all platforms and as a digital purchase.

On the same day as Chronicles: Russia, a physical edition of the Chronicles games will be bundled together for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Fast forward to April 5th, and the Playstation Vita will gets its hard copied edition.

All Chronicles play as a 2.5d sidescroller, with its art styled based upon the era the game is based on.

Walter is a California native. He is currently in his last year of college pursuing a B.A. in English, but is often mistaken for a freshman...or a middle school tourist on occassion. His earliest gaming experience was Pokemon Red version on the Gameboy color, which he played actively. He would dabble with the Nintendo 64 and Playstation 2 for a bit before transitioning to many years of F2P MMOs. He then moved on to League of Legends, with whom he as an on and off again relationship. He currently spends most of his game time on his Playstation 4. He's also a bit of a Marvel nut.
