OverClocked Remix Releases FINAL FANTASY IX: WORLDS APART

By Josh PiedraSeptember 9, 2015

OverClocked Remix is a staple in the video game remixing community. In fact, some would argue that they ARE the video game remix community!  They certainly have proven that time and time again as most of their community members have gone on to work on various music and video game projects, including Street Fighter II HD Remix for Xbox Live Arcade, and touring with Video Games Music Live!  Throughout all of this, the community still finds time to create fan albums for different games and the Final Fantasy series is no stranger to these OCR Projects.  They’ve previously released albums for Final Fantasy II, IV, V, VI, and VII!

Now on September 9, 2015… on the 20th anniversary of the North American launch of the original Playstation console, OverClocked Remix has released Final Fantasy IX: World’s Apart, their 53rd album!

The FREE Digital Download nets you 58 tracks in either MP3 or FLAC formats totalling 4+ hours of music!  You get cover art by Kevin Merrimen, a contributor to UDON’s upcoming Capcom Fighting Tribute book, and 19 original pieces of character art from Final Fantasy IX!

The album was directed by Cain McCormack, who is a part of Creative Assembly’s BAFTA-winning sound team for their work on Alien: Isolation. The project started in January of 2010 and now five years and nine months later, it has finally arrived for all to click, download, indulge, and enjoy!  So what are you waiting for?  Go grab it for yourselves!
