Patch that addresses numerous issues with Batman: Arkham Knight PC now released!

By Keith MitchellSeptember 4, 2015

Looks like this is finally it folks. After waiting months on end, WB and Rocksteady (and friends) have released a 600+MB patch for Batman: Arkham Knight, that addresses multiple issues, including improved performance regardless of which GPU you use. The patch will be delivered via Steam, so if you haven’t opened up Steam as of last night or this morning, you may want to do so.

I do want to add a bit of caution here as some people have reported that since the update, they haven’t been able to launch the game or that the game runs worse!? Yet others seem to be pretty happy with the patch and have stated that it has made the game more playable. I haven’t been able to fire up my copy just yet, so I can’t comment on it for now. Head on over to the Steam Community page for feedback on the recent patch and who’s have issues with it or not.

Steam Community Link.

Full patch changes below:

  • Reduced frame rate hitches
  • Optimizations for system memory and VRAM usage
  • Improved performance on all GPUs (requires the latest drivers)
  • More Comprehensive In-Game Settings
  • Fixed low resolution texture bugs
  • Fixed hitches when running on mechanical hard drives (HDD)

In addition to the above, we’re continuing to work on the following for future updates:

  • Adding support for SLI and Crossfire
  • Adding support for the latest DLC & Season Pass content
  • Adding support for additional updates such as Photo Mode
  • Continued improvements and bug fixing for a Windows 7 specific memory issue that occurs on configurations with 8GB of system RAM and some NVIDIA GPUs during extended game play
  • Continued improvements for Windows 10 specific issues on systems with some AMD GPUs
