EA Announces Star Wars Battlefront Beta

EA has made the announcement confirming a beta test for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront.

In a blog post on the official website, EA revealed a beta test will be coming early October for Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Origin. Some highlights coming to the beta seem to include:

  • The Walker Assault on Hoth, featuring 40-player multiplayer battles, and the ability to play as Luke or Darth Vader
  • Survival Mission on Tatooine, featuring co op, wave based combat
  • A brand new mode called Drop Zone, details to come soon
  • A companion app called the Star Wars Battlefront Companion Experience, containing a multitude of features, like a strategic card game called Base Command, stat and progression tracking, load out customization, and various social features
