Wii U stretch goal added to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter

By Keith MitchellMay 27, 2015

I don’t how many times I’ve heard people state that they simply would not fund Koji Igarashi’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Kickstarter campaign due to the Wii U version not being included in the lineup. And to be honest, this caliber of game should run on the Wii U, especially since it is possible to get an Unreal Engine 4 game running on the system. This is a game that everyone should have a chance to play, so why the hell not!

Well it seems that Igarashi and crew have heard the cries and have added the Wii U port of the game,  though at a hefty price. If Whenthe Kickstarter campagin hits $3,000,000.00 then a Wii U version of the game will be ported. The port would then be handled by Armature Studio, a team made up of members who worked on the Metroid series.

“When we were approached with the opportunity to assist with Bloodstained on Wii U, we were ecstatic. This style of game is one we are intimately familiar with from our Metroid Prime days, and it’s exciting to once again put our familiarity with Nintendo hardware to good use. We have extensive remastering experience – our remastering projects include the Metal Gear Solid Collection for PS Vita, Injustice for PS Vita, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for PS4/XB1. We look forward to the challenge of making sure that the Wii U edition of Bloodstained stands proudly with its brethren on Unreal Engine 4.”

So there you go Wii U fans! Now there should be no reason that anyone doesn’t fund this title, well unless you don’t own any of the systems that the game is coming to. Just remember, the Kickstarter campaign will end as of June 12, 2015. So don’t miss your chance.

Now, I wonder what the stretch goal at $3,250,000.ooo is. Hmm……
