Screenshots of the Upcoming Game The Technomancer Released

By Keith MitchellMay 27, 2015

Today, Focus Home Interactive and Spider Games released the first screenshots of their project, The Technomancer.

The Technomancer is a cyberpunk and post-apocalyptic RPG, set on Mars, focuses on “action-oriented combat” with four different skill trees and three different fighting styles. The Technomancer will also have unique, electric focused powers. This will hopefully be a fun mix of cybernetics and magic.

However, even with attention to combat the role play aspect should not forgotten. In The Technomancer players will be on the run from the Secret police. As they travel across the Red Planet they will have to navigate through tribal communities and dystopian shanties to survive. Still, they will not go it alone. Players will make companions along the way and their choices will led to different outcomes.  The game plans to have high replay ability with multiple endings.

Focus Home Interactive has recently published other successful titles such as Blood Bowl 2, Act of Aggression, Vampyr and Farming Simulator 15. Meanwhile, Spider Games has created Orcs of Men and a similarly science fiction set game, Mars: War Logs.  The first screenshots show The Technomancer on one of Mars’ last strongholds called Noctis. This is one of the last places that people consider themselves free during the War of Water. However, the land is filled with pillagers, bandits and other dangerous creatures. These will put warriors to the test. The dynamic crafting system for weapons and armor should help with this.

The game is scheduled to come out next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. However, it will be presented, more in depth, during E3, which will be in Los Angeles June 16 – 18. Then, we should get a look at what terrifying wildlife this planet holds and possibly get to know some of the companions joining us along the journey.
