Spider-Man to finally make his Marvel Marvel Cinematic Universe debut

By Keith MitchellFebruary 10, 2015

Have you ever watched Marvel’s The Avengers and ever thought to yourself, “This is New York, where the heck is Spidey?”, only to remember that Sony Pictures Entertainment actually holds the rights to old’e webhead and then you get a tad depressed? Well friends, wonder no more as it seems that Marvel and Sony have finally come to an agreement that will finally bring Spider-Man into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Under the new deal, Spider-man will appear in a MCU film, not specified, followed by the next Sony produced Spider-Man flick on July 28th, 2017 which will be co-produced with Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal and team in tow. Hopefully between the two and the backing that they have, they can turn the ill fated Sony produced Spider-Man series around.

I don’t know about the rest of you but I’m hyped that we’ll finally get to see Spider-Man interacting with the rest of the MCU crew and I’m hoping that while it’s too late to get him into Avengers 2: Age of Ultron (Or is it?) that we’ll see him in Avengers 3 or even the next Iron-Man or Captain America flick.

The only other question I have now is which Spider-Man is the MCU going to get? Peter Parker, Ben Reily, Kane or maybe even Miles Morales (Yes, Please!). Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
