Today, THQ Nordic and Paraglacial released new gameplay from the upcoming action RPG Fatekeeper. In this footage, we get a better look at the game’s mechanics and combat. It looks incredibly meaty, and the heft of the weapons really helps showcase what the developer is going for in terms of combat feel.
You will need to log into YouTube to see video as it is a bit violent, but oh so good to see in action.
In Fatekeeper, you play as the Druid, a hero equally at home with blades and axes as with elemental spellcasting. The game takes you through a handcrafted world of ruins, underground caverns, forests, and forgotten sanctuaries, blending intense melee combat with deep progression across combat styles, attributes, and spell schools. Whether you want to build a melee brawler, a nimble fighter, or a pure spellcaster, the game looks to give you the tools to make that build feel distinct.
Fatekeeper was first revealed during the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase back in August 2025. The game comes from Paraglacial, a new studio made up of former Grimlore Games developers best known for SpellForce 3. It’s a brand-new IP that draws heavy inspiration from the cancelled Techland game Hellraid, taking a linear, combat-focused approach to the RPG genre that has already drawn plenty of Dark Messiah of Might & Magic comparisons.
Fatekeeper is currently planned for Early Access on PC via Steam in 2026. No specific date has been announced as of yet.
