When it comes to anime, no series gets me more excited than Mobile Suit Gundam, and I know I’m not alone. It always makes me happy to see Gundams show up in other media, especially games. We saw them appear in Overwatch, and now the iconic mecha franchise is crossing over into Apex Legends.
Starting March 10, 2026, multiple Gundam-inspired cosmetics will arrive in Apex Legends, alongside an updated map called “Reborn Broken Moon.” Soon, you’ll be able to suit up in classic Gundam skins, including:
- OZ-13MS Gundam Epyon (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing)
- XXXG-00W0 Wing Gundam Zero (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing)
- RX-105 Ξ Gundam / Xi Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway)
- Gundam Aerial (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury)
- ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny)
- Gundam Deathscythe Hell Custom (Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz)
- gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX (Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX)
- ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED)
And yes, I named all those suits just by looking at them. Yeah, I’m a bit obsessed.
That’s a stacked lineup. The Epyon alone is enough to get my attention, but once again, one of my personal favorites has been left out: Tallgeese III. One day, someone is going to show it the love it deserves, and it shows up in more games.
That’s not all. To celebrate the crossover, Bandai Namco is also releasing three limited-edition Gunpla kits inspired by the collaboration. Even if you don’t play Apex Legends but love Gundam, you can still take part. These kits will be available for purchase online starting March 18, 2026:
- RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam – Apex Legends Crypto Ver.
- RG 1/144 Wing Gundam Zero EW – Apex Legends Valkyrie Ver.
- RG 1/144 Gundam Epyon – Apex Legends Alter Ver.
I haven’t played Apex Legends in quite a while, but this might be enough to pull me back in. It’s Gundam. That’s all the convincing I need. For more info on this Apex Legends X Gundam Crossover event, head on over to the official Apex Legends website.
