Performance features include support for NVIDIA DLSS 4, AMD FSR 4, and Intel XeSS 2, all with upscaling and frame generation options. The PC version also introduces Pico, Guerrilla’s upscaling solution used in the Decima engine, which can be combined with frame generation and dynamic resolution scaling.
Ultrawide support is fully implemented, with cutscenes rendered in 21:9 and gameplay extending to 32:9 displays (YES!). Players on 16:9 monitors can also enable wider aspect ratios in the display settings. A 21:9 mode is also coming to PS5 alongside the PC release.
As someone who wanted to play Death Stranding 2 on day one on the PS5, I waited for the inevitable PC release, since that’s the platform that I played the first game on. And with the PC requirements reveal, I’m glad to see that this isn’t going to be a simple port and that Nixxes is ensuring that Death Standing 2 on PC will incorporate all the tech that modern day GPUs can provide.
