ABEMA, a next-generation TV streaming platform, launched Project PRISMation in December 2025, a new initiative aimed at creating original anime works in collaboration with next-generation anime creators. We are pleased to announce that the original anime pilot film Poppin-Play Kitchen (Original Concept, Director, Screenplay & Animation: Zemyata), which premiered as the first project title on Friday, January 16, 2026, has surpassed 1 million total views on YouTube within just 10 days of its release.
As the first release under this Project PRISMation, ABEMA premiered Poppin-Play Kitchen, an original anime pilot film by Thailand-based creator Zemyata, who is widely known for his vivid color palettes and dark yet pop-inspired worldviews, on the official Project PRISMation YouTube channel.
Within just 10 days of its release, the film surpassed 1 million total views on YouTube, drawing widespread attention for its unique worldbuilding. Viewers have shared enthusiastic reactions such as “It was so suspenseful,” “The quality is incredible,” “The visuals and structure are genius,” and “It’s cute and pop, yet horror—absolutely amazing.
In addition, many comments have poured in not only from Japan but also from overseas, including “I can’t believe I found something like this,” “I’m excited to see what’s next,” and “It’s great to see indie anime gaining momentum in Japan.”
Commenting on the response, creator Zemyata shared the following message:
“Thank you all for the kindness you’ve shown “POPPIN-PLAY KITCHEN”! I’m excited to share more of this lovely, plastic world with you all!”
In addition, on Friday, January 23, ABEMA released a new video related to Gluttomy, a short-form hit work by Vietnam-based creator unit rapitus, consisting of RaPis and Tus. Furthermore, on Friday, January 30, ABEMA also released The Horrors’ Horror Home, created by UGUISU KOBO, an animation production group primarily formed by graduates of Musashino Art University’s Department of Imaging Arts and Sciences.
Looking ahead, Project PRISMation will continue beyond next year, collaborating with a wide variety of creators annually. Starting around May 2026, the project is also scheduled to begin accepting public submissions for original concepts from both Japan and abroad. Further details will be announced in due course.
As part of the CyberAgent Group, which operates ABEMA, the company places great importance on a creator-first philosophy, guided by the belief that “great IP is born from creators’ passion and creativity.” Through this initiative, ABEMA aims not only to support participating creators but also to actively create opportunities for viewers to discover new and original anime works.
