Kena: Scars of Kosmora, the sequel to Kena: Bridge of Spirits was revealed during Sony’s February 2026 State of Play, and it looks like Ember Lab isn’t playing it safe this time around.
In this new chapter, Kena returns as a far more seasoned Spirit Guide. She travels to the mysterious island of Kosmora searching for answers about a lifelong affliction and hoping to reconnect with familiar faces. Things don’t go smoothly. A powerful corruption shatters her staff, the very thing that defines her role and keeps her alive, forcing her to adapt. To survive, Kena must learn an ancient form of Spirit Guiding rooted in elemental alchemy, unlocking new abilities and expanding her combat options in the process.
From what we’ve seen, this isn’t just “more Kena.” The sequel looks bigger in scope, with new cultures to explore, deeper combat systems, elemental spirit companions, and larger, more intense encounters. This game, just like the first one, looks beautiful with lush environments. Clearly, it looks like Emberlabs has been putting in the work.
I didn’t expect this game to even exist, but I’m excited for it as the first game was a sleeper hit for me. Definitely adding this to games I must play column.
Kena: Scars of Kosmora is slated for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC.
