Months after Capcom announced the Capcom Cup Finals 2025 streaming announcement, the company has made some changes to the model. After negative backlash from the masses, it seems as though something was stirring on the company’s end to come up with ways to meet the demand.
Originally, the event was entirely free to watch. Tetsuya Tabuchi, Head of Capcom’s Esports Business Division, has addressed the changes and apologized on behalf of Capcom.
#CAPCOMCUP12 is almost here.

The pricing model has changed significantly. The One Day Pass is $6 and the Two Day is around $10 USD. The rest of the Street Fighter League World Championship and Capcom Cup qualifiers will be free to watch still. A free Rashid color will be given with the purchase.
Mirror Match..err Streaming
Mirror Streaming will be allowed. Creators, Community figures, and players, will be able to share the event viewing. Community viewing parties were always a thing with the FGC, but to hear this is coming back seems to be a plus.
Trial By Streaming Combat
Capcom will also be trying a live stream through Street Fighter VI’s Battle Hub on a limited capacity, First Come First Served, basis. There will be no replay features or even rewinding. Definitely an experimental effort to say the least as Capcom has warned that this is so. This is considered to be a trial run. Even the quality might be questionable, but there is still hope.
