No Rest For The Wicked Is Getting Co-op, Launching on January 22

By Keith MitchellJanuary 16, 2026
No Rest for the Wicked CO-OP is coming

Moon Studios has revealed that its upcoming Soulslike title that dabbles its toes into Diablo-style isometric gameplay and loot distribution, No Rest For The Wicked, is getting a co-op mode. Up to four players will be able to tackle the world of Solar Sacra.

The studio has only provided a few lines of what this means in a new trailer that was released. However, if I’m understanding this correctly, you’ll be able to continue on in your own realm, as No Rest For The Wicked generates seeded realms, and you’ll also be able to help others in their realms. No word on if it will scale levels during the latter, but I’m sure we’ll find out soon.

There’s something to be said about action RPGs or Soulslikes when they let you play hand in hand with another human player. Sure, playing with an AI or computer-controlled NPC is ok, but we can all attest there are times where they end up being completely useless. Like when they run into a crowd of enemies, die, and then have those enemies make a beeline towards you. Or when they simply walk off a cliff. So, I’m really happy to see that No Rest For The Wicked is adding co-op to the game, which, by the way, was something the developers had mentioned in the past but they weren’t 100% sure if co-op would be added to the game.

As for the game, I haven’t touched No Rest For The Wicked in a very long time. It’s not that I don’t like the game, but after spending 40 hours on the early access game, too much has been changed, with other things in flux, it simply didn’t make sense for me to continue playing. But don’t mistake this for me not enjoying the game, as I simply loved it. I just like my action RPGs or Soulslikes to be completed before I throw my life away playing it.

No Rest For The Wicked is currently in early access for PC. However, according to Moon Studios, the game will be entering its final build and leaving early access on January 22, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
