After several leaks came out today, it seems as though Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves‘ new season has been revealed. Official artwork has been released for the new season, resembling the in-game renders. SNK had stated that the new season would start in January, so here we are. Fortunately, we’ve got some ideas as to who’s to come this year.
UPDATE: SNK also released a trailer this morning highlighting the begining of the new season.
- January 2026 – Kim Jae Hoon
- February 2026 – Nightmare Geese
- March 2026 – Blue Mary
- April 2026 – Wolfgang Krauser
- May 2026 – Mystery Character
- June 2026 – Mystery Character
The roster seems to be getting stacked with some favorites this time. Jae Hoon is one of the Kims, bringing a bit more seriousness to Dong Hwan’s personality. Originally from Mark of the Wolves, Jae Hoon was omitted from the original roster for City of the Wolves, but still had a presence to haunt his brother. Jae Hoon’s moves are mostly fire based in contrast to his brother’s electricity influence.
Right when you thought that boss characters can’t all stay dead, Geese Howard can’t. The nightmare of South Town returns. Nightmare Geese was already in the Arcade and Episodes of South Town as a boss character, haunting whomever he can get his Raging Storm on.
Private investigator Blue Mary, from Fatal Fury 3, is also in a few endings for Kevin Rian and Chun-Li. It was only a matter of time before she came out of the woodwork. Wolfgang Krauser’s tease happened a few weeks ago as the first boss to officially return to the Fatal Fury scene. Krauser’s organization is responsible for the King of Fighters tournament for City of the Wolves, so it’d be ideal for him to show face now.

Random Select
The mystery characters seem to be shrouded in more mystery than one can allow, but through the two teasers, there has been some sort of speculation as to who these might be. I’ll look to Duke from King of Fighters 2006 for my choice, but it seems as though we might have some more clues. Art of Fighting seems to be one of them. If the vein would stay the same for bosses, and since Geese and Mr Big are technically bosses from the Art of Fighting series: Mr. Karate would be a shoe-in at this point.
Fist of the North Star‘s Kenshiro might be the second guest. We might find this out in the next major for SNK. Ken and Chun-Li were also revealed during Evo last year, for instance. A spectacular event is a fitting place for this. Surprisingly still, each month will bring a new character to the fold, which could mean that Season 3 will possibly start in July.
