If you recall my post from Friday, you’ll know that Fire Emblem Path of Radiance is out right now on Nintendo Switch Online, and that its soundtrack was put onto Nintendo Music. All of that was great to see and hear, but fans noticed a key difference between how the game got released and how other NSO titles got released in the past. Specifically, while the news was dropped on Nintendo’s own website, it wasn’t given a proper English trailer, nor was it talked about on their official social media channels. That is, until today.
At last, and after MANY fans talking about it on Twitter and Bluesky, Nintendo dropped a narrated story trailer for Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, commenting on the journey of Ike and the Greil Mercenaries, as they must fight for their lives and freedom to keep the mysterious Princess Ellincia safe from the clutches of Mad King Ashnard and the mysterious Black Knight.
As I noted last Friday, this game is genuinely one of my all-time favorite titles, and I’m definitely getting the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack to play it for the first time in years. Hopefully, the response to this will get Nintendo to either bring in the second half of Ike’s story to NSO or do a combined remaster of the Tellius Saga for Nintendo Switch 2.
I’m sure that would sell quite well, given the state of the fanbase and franchise that Ike helped build up.
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance is available on Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack right now.
